Gums, gelling agents and polymers can be important additions to a cosmetic formula, but you need to know how to select them carefully to avoid pilling, a sticky feeling and to even get them to work properly. Their input also varies considerably, depending on which gum, gelling agent or polymer you choose. How you incorporate them into your cosmetic formula is also incredibly important – an incorrectly added gum may as well not be added at all!
In this workshop, you will learn about 15 different gums, gelling agents and polymers used in cosmetic formulas, the types of products each agent suits best, and important input and processing information.
